On the first day of school, I make a big fancy breakfast for the entire family. We have scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, waffles, fresh berries, whipped cream, orange juice and more. Rather than eating on our own, like most mornings, we actually plan on meeting at the dining room table at 7:00 a.m. sharp to eat breakfast together and to talk about our goals, worries, excitement, etc. of the upcoming school year. It's a great start to the day and the entire year.
