A Roaring Bonfire

We started a new tradition a few years ago. Every New Year's Eve we host a party at our house with a roaring bonfire. We had the idea to make the bonfire a little extra special by asking everyone in attendance to bring along some items that they would like to put behind them from the previous year. We have burned sixth grade science tests, medical forms, bills, stuffed animals from ex-boyfriends and lots more. The bonfire is a great way to put the bad memories from the past year behind you in a ceremonious kind of way.
