A Special Birthday Present

ach time someone celebrates a birthday in our family, we not only shower them with gifts, but also shower them with special thoughts. All family members are expected to write down their positive thoughts and memories of the birthday person from the last year. Sometimes we include photos from the last year, artwork and handmade cards. We each recollect funny moments and special events from the last year and really take time to think about why the person is so special to each of us. Everyone then puts their thoughts in a large envelope that is presented to birthday person at their birthday dinner. It’s such a fun way to make the person feel extra special on their birthday. The birthday envelope with all the contents also becomes a treasured keepsake for many years to come.
