An Easter Bonnet with All the Frills Upon It

Every year my daughter and I make special Easter Bonnets to wear to our family gathering. We started out by making our bonnets from construction paper, ribbon and miscellaneous scrapbooking supplies. For the last several years we’ve been making more elaborate hats. Typically I buy a plain hat from a local store then we buy several yards of ribbon and bunches of silk flowers. I glue and sew the ribbon, flowers and other decorations onto the hats so we can both show up at Grandma’s house with the most beautiful hats. Our hats have become so popular that my sister-in-law, nieces and my aunts have started joining in the fun as well. Everyone shows up with an elaborate hat for Easter brunch. The tradition has made for some wonderful family photos.
