Bringing the Outside In |
My children love exploring the great outdoors. Every fall we’ve made it a tradition to spend an entire Sunday afternoon in mid-October exploring the woods behind Grandma’s house. We count the squirrels, deer and rabbits we find. We pack snacks and hunt for the right log to sit down and enjoy them on. Another goal of our trip is to bring the outside in. I enjoy decorating with natural items, especially for fall. So my husband, kids and I bring along a couple of empty ice cream pails and fill them with acorns, pinecones, beautiful crimson and yellow leaves. We pile our arms full of branches too! Then we stop in a Grandma’s to have dinner before heading back home to decorate the house in fall splendor.
