Christmas Eve is Family Game Night

Christmas Eve is Family Game Night Our family has a special tradition that we've been celebrating for several years now. As a family we get one new game that we open each Christmas Eve. We usually play "rock, paper, scissors" to see which one of the kids gets to open the gift. Everyone knows that it will be a game to add to our collection, but they don't know which one. The games have changed in complexity as the kids have gotten older, but the fun has remained the same. We open this gift right after dinner then we spend the rest of the evening playing the new game. We turn the lights down low so the lights of the tree seem extra bright, turn up the Christmas music and break into the Christmas cookies. We play the game and cherish this family tradition until it's time to go to bed.
