Christmas Shopping Excursion

Every year all the women in our family plan a weekend shopping trip for mid-November. This not only gives us a chance to get away and have fun, but it also gives us all a good jump on our Christmas shopping. We generally plan our getaway about 2-4 hours from home. We've done Minneapolis, Chicago, Appleton, Milwaukee and Madison. We leave on Friday morning, shop the afternoon and then party Friday night. We get a hotel room so we have plenty of time to shop and have fun. Then Saturday morning we're all up bright and early for more shopping. In recent years, we've all made an effort to actually try to finish our shopping during this trip. That means everyone comes prepared with a big list. By moving our holiday shopping to mid-November, we all enjoy a much less stressful holiday season. Not to mention, we have a great Girls Weekend that we all look forward to each year.
