A couple of years ago I purchased a countdown to halloween calendar from Pottery Barn for kids. That year we started getting visits from the Halloween ghost. He leaves little gifts in the pocket of the calendar...sometimes it is dollar store type items, new Halloween Pjs and sometimes just notes for free treats or snacks. ~Valerie W. Gig Harbor, WA |

I love advent calendars and activities as well. When I was a child my mom made a Christmas advent calendar that I LOVED! So as an adult I decided that my children needed to have the same tradition. It was fun making a Christmas calendar, but so much more fun making a Halloween one too. I get excited every morning to watch my kids move the little ghosty down a pocket, pull out treats, or papers leading them to other places in the house where creepy books or Halloweenish presents are hidden. I made a few extra calendars this year that I sold on etsy.
