Fling Open the Doors

A tradition in our family has always been to open all the doors and windows of our home just before midnight on New Year's Eve. No matter what the weather, we all go around and open the windows and fling open the doors so the old year can escape and the new year can come in. After we finish our New Year's kisses and toasts, we all rush back around to close the windows and doors so we don't freeze to death.
