Getting Ready for Christmas

Many years ago it was decided that the women in our family would be responsible for cooking the Thanksgiving meal and setting the table for the rest of the family while all the men kicked back and watched football on TV. It was also decided that then men would be responsible for clearing the table and cleaning the kitchen after dinner. (Lucky for them, we're a pretty neat group!) A few years ago my niece decided to bring along her Christmas cards to address after dinner. We all thought that was such a great idea, that the next year while the guys were cleaning up after Thanksgiving, the women moved on to Christmas. We each brought along our envelopes and address books (and some even craft supplies) to begin our Christmas cards. It's a great way for us to get a jump start on the holidays and it also allows us all to update our address books together.
