Grandma's Special Thanksgiving Apron |
Back when my kids were little, I bought a white apron for them to decorate and give to Grandma for Thanksgiving. Each of my three kids dipped their hands in fabric paint and put it on the apron, then each was given the chance turn their handprint into a turkey using colored markers. Grandma has worn that same apron every year for Thanksgiving. Even better, we've added several more handprint turkeys to the apron. My sister's kids have added their handprints, as well as my new grandson. The apron has become a treasured part of our Thanksgiving celebration. My kids all get a chuckle looking at how their hands have grown since they made their first handprint turkeys many years ago.
