Making Predictions for the Next Year

Every year we host a New Year's Eve party for a few of our best friends. One tradition that we have is to make predictions for the upcoming year. If it's an election year, we all guess who will be elected president, mayor, etc. We predict which movie will win the Best Movie at the Academy Awards. Many of the guys predict the top sports teams for the next year. We might also predict that Susie will get engaged or Barry will get married, Tom and Cindy will buy a new car. The predictions are always a fun part of the evening. As the host of the event, I write everything down on a sheet of paper and seal it in an envelope that I pack away with my Christmas decorations. The following year, we open the envelope and read the predictions. We have a great time and look forward to doing it for many years to come.
