Pass The Buns

Well, my family has a rather unusual tradition which began some years ago. It's a simple Christmas (and Thanksgiving, Easter, etc.) tradition where we "pass the buns" to everyone eating at the table. I began the tradition when, after my father asked if I could "pass him a bun" by instinctively grabbing one of my Grandmother's homemade buns and launching it over the turkey, stuffing, bread, gravy, corn, jello salad and sparkly water glasses to the other end of the table where my father also instinctively reached up and grabbed it mid-air without skipping a beat.

After a moment of silence, the room erupted into laughter and everyone now eats way more carbs at our get-together meals than we should, just because of the traditional "passing of the buns".
