Playing the Hot/Cold Game

For birthdays in our family, instead of just giving the gift to the person, we play the "Hot/Cold" game. We wrap the presents and then hide them throughout the house. The birthday person must search for their presents, with a little help from the rest of the family. As they get to the room where there is a present, we yell "hotter", and if they move in the wrong direction, we yell "colder". The children look forward to this game as much as the presents.
