Reliving Vacation Memories

Vacation PicturesEach year my family goes on vacation we buy a special Christmas ornament as a memento. We’ve been lucky to find Christmas ornaments at most of our vacation spots. If we’re not able to find an ornament, we figure out some way to make an ornament to celebrate our vacation. One year we made a snowflake from pinecones we picked up at the campgrounds. Another year it was a Christmas tree made from beach glass. Whether the ornaments were bought or handmade, we would get them home and label them each with the location and date of the vacation. Now when we get out the Christmas ornaments we’re so excited to relive our vacation memories.

Traci Lehmann says:

We always try to find a magnet for our fridge as a simple and inexpensive memento from our family vacations. I'm not always able to find one everywhere we go, so I really like the idea of making a magnet when there's not one available to buy. My kids love picking up rocks or we could even make our own photo magnet.
