Share Three Good Things |
My husband and I tuck our children into bed each night. Each child is given some special time alone with Mom and Dad. Over the years we've developed a special ritual that helps keep our kids focused on the positive. Before we read a bedtime story, we each list off three good things from that day. Those three good things might range from little things like chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast to the smell of freshly cut grass or bigger things like no cavities at the dentist to a homerun in little league. No matter if the three things are big or small, the exercise helps all of us think about all the good things that happen throughout our day that often go unnoticed.
