Special Birthday Gifts

My children have way too many toys and plenty of clothes too. So for their birthday each child receives one special gift (a new bike, a video game, etc.) and then several birthday coupons. Depending on the age and interests of the child, the birthday coupons change. My husband and I usually come up with 5-10 coupons for each birthday. Here are some of the coupons that I've used in the past:

• Stay Up Until Midnight (not on a school night)
• Stay Up One Hour Past Bedtime (on a school night)
• Get out of Doing Dishes for a Week
• Have a Friend Sleep Over
• Choose What We're Having for Dinner
• Let's Go for Ice Cream
