Swimming Pool for the Frogs

On the first day of summer, we (my boys & I) set up "swimming pools" for the frogs (really they're toads, but we call them frogs) in our front & back yards. They are just cake pans with water and a large rock in them. But do the toads use them? Yes they do! We have lots of pictures of the toads "hanging out" in our "pools." We always put them in a "picturesque" place among flowers & plants, so they have a nice cover from the eyes of curious cats and playful dogs! I have been doing this since I was a child and it's fun to now watch my boys enjoy this little tradition!
