Thanksgiving Paper Chain

When November comes around, my family is like many others, we take time to realize what we're thankful for in honor of Thanksgiving. Rather than just focusing on Thanksgiving day, we take a little time each day of November to give thanks. I cut strips of paper using fall colors like orange, gold, brown and burgundy. Then each day my husband, son and I each write down one thing that were thankful for on each strip (starting on November 1st). We make the strips into a long colorful chain that we hang on our fireplace mantle. It's a fun exercise and it makes us each realize that we have so many wonderful things to be grateful for.

Joan G. says:

We also do a paper chain of things we're thankful for, but we do our a little differently. We make ours out of red and green paper and we make the first rings at Thanksgiving and continue to add links every day until Christmas. We hang the chain on the tree and watch it grow as Christmas gets closer.
