Thanksgiving Placecards

I host the family Thanksgiving every year at my house. At each table setting I put a pen and a placecard with the name, year and the words "I'm thankful for..." Everyone is asked to write one thing they are thankful for on the card (of course, you are welcome to write more than one too.) Before you are able to take any turkey from the platter you must read the statement on your placecard and share what you are thankful for. I save the placecards in a small box and take them out every year for everyone to read through.
