The Battle of the Superbowl Commercials

Like a lot of folks, we have a big old Superbowl party at our house comprised of neighbors, friends and family. We have plenty of food, TVs in every room and lots of laughs. To make things interesting for those of us that aren't football fans (like me), I devised a game for everyone to play that keeps everyone watching. We have the Battle of the SuperBowl Commercials. Before the game begins, I pass out the ballots with the categories: most memorable, best "sell", funniest, biggest waste of money, etc. As the commercials are aired I write them on a large easel in our living room, naming them in a fashion that everyone will hopefully remember (ex. Miller Beer Dalmation in Fire Truck Ad). As the game goes on the large pieces of paper with the commercial names on are posted around the living room for all to see. After the game is over, everyone votes and the winning commercials are announced. The person that chose the most winning commercials, gets a small prize to take home. The game is fun for all ages and adds to the lively conversation. It's a great addition to any Superbowl party.
